Who We Are
Harvest Fellowship is a diverse and friendly family of believers in Jesus Christ. We have singles, married couples, young adults, families with kids of all ages, and working professionals, as well as more “seasoned” people. No matter who you are or where you come from, we welcome you in the grace, love, and truth of Jesus.
Our mission is to lead people to trust and obey Jesus, which is based on Matthew 28:18-20:
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'”
What To Expect
Sundays are a time when we gather together to worship God and serve one another. We firmly believe that the church is not a building, but rather the gathered people of Jesus. As we like to say it here around Harvest, church is not merely a service we attend or a building we go to; it is a community to whom we belong.
We also welcome those who are simply investigating Jesus, haven’t been to a church in a long time, or looking for a church to call home. We would love for you to be our guest on Sunday!
Our worship services are God-centered. That simply means when we gather together, we want all that we do to honor God through the Lord Jesus. And we do that through song, Scripture readings, prayer, preaching, communion, giving, and serving.
When we gather on Sunday mornings, we join together in singing to our God. We make music to please God and to build others up. Colossians 3:16 says, “Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” For us, that’s what making music is all about. Our songs are a celebration of who God is and what He is doing in and through our lives as His church and in the world.
You’ll hear new songs including Christian Contemporary, old songs, hymns, choruses, and even some original music written by members of our worship team. All of our music is aimed at glorifying our God and making much of Jesus.
At Harvest, we want Sunday to be the best day of the week for everyone, especially the children! We have a special place for your children, ages 6-weeks through 5th grade.
Our Children’s Ministry provides a safe, spiritual and fun environment where God’s Word comes to life through creative play, crafts, music, innovative lessons from The Gospel Project curriculum and more. Your child will laugh, learn, play, explore, grow, feel loved, and won’t want to leave.
The central element of our worship service is the preaching of the Scriptures. Every Sunday we hear biblical messages that help us to know what to believe and how to live as people who know and have trusted Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Our Lead Pastor, along with other faithful preachers of our church, seek to make the point of the Bible passage the point of their sermons (i.e., expository preaching: exposing the meaning of the biblical text and applying it to those in attendance). Central in all of the sermons is the person and work of Jesus for humanity’s salvation from sin and reconciliation with God.
No matter what you’ve been through or where you come from, you are welcome here. Join us at our Sunday gatherings and see why God’s family is no ordinary family.
