Our mission
Our mission comes directly from what Jesus told his apostles after he was resurrected from the dead in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." We took what Jesus said and put it into a memorable one-sentence statement: Our mission is to lead people to trust and obey Jesus.
Our Values
These are core biblical ideas that define and shape us as a local church.
Experiencing God (John 4:23-24, 17:3; Romans 12:12; Colossians 3:16) – We value knowing and relating to God in Christ through spiritual disciplines evidenced and commanded in Scripture.
Sharing the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16) – We value those who are without God in the world and will seek opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus with them.
Living by the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17) – We value the Bible as God’s Word and is, therefore, the authoritative standard of truth and practice that we adhere to.
Building Relationships (John 13:34-35; Acts 2:41-47; Galatians 2:14; James 5:16-20; Hebrews 10:23-25) – We value cultivating trusting and truthful relationships with each other, resulting in Christ-like life change.
Being Relevant (Acts 17:22-31) – We value conducting ourselves as a church to where persons can understand and respond to the grace and truth of God in Jesus.
Serving Others (Romans 12:6-8; I Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:10-16; I Peter 4:10-11) – We value serving others in capacities that are in alignment with our God-given gifts, passions, and abilities.
Embracing Diversity (Acts 11:1-18; Ephesians 2:11-22, 4:4-6) – We value being a church that respects and celebrates our God-ordained generational, cultural, and ethnic differences.
