22 years ago, my wife and I stood before God, family, and friends and entered into holy matrimony. It was one of the most special and significant times of our lives. Before that day, we had put in a good amount of work to prepare ourselves for what life would be like once we were married. We went through premarital classes and counseling, both of which we would highly recommend to singles who are seriously considering marriage.

We soon realized that in order for our marriage to last a lifetime, we needed to invest in it on a regular basis. Like a tune-up or an oil change for a car, if we wanted our marriage to continue to operate at a high level, we needed to be intentional about getting under the hood to evaluate what was going on, address any issues, and make the needed adjustments.

We also knew we needed the input, love, guidance, and care of the body of Christ to help us be all that Jesus desired of us as husband and wife. This is why we are strongly encouraging you and your spouse to commit to attending and participating in our Cultivate Marriage Ministry Re|engage sessions.

Our marriages won't become or stay strong and healthy without us putting in the work. Join Michael and Dr. Zandra Rutledge the 2nd Saturday of each month, as they walk us through a biblically-based, Gospel-centered curriculum and workbook that is sure to give us the tools we need to have God-honoring marriages.

The next session is tomorrow, Saturday, April 12th at 5pm at the church. Register here.

Blog comments will be sent to the moderator
