Pastor Ed Johnson III

As Lead Pastor and Church Planter at Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church in Desoto, TX, I would personally like to thank you for allowing us a few minutes to introduce ourselves.

Maybe we’ve knocked on your door, you’ve passed our campus or a friend invited you; whatever the case, you are always welcome at Harvest.

Ed was born and raised in Austin, TX. He came to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior as a child and accepted the call to preach at age 17. In his early years of ministry, he served in various capacities in both the church and the community. These positions included Children and Youth Minister, After-School Program Site Director at an Alternative School, and Religious Education Director at Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, TX.

After graduating with a Master of Divinity degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary (Baylor University), he served for over a decade as the Associate Pastor of Christian Education at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. While there, he served under his Pastor and mentor Dr. Karry D. Wesley.

Ed is known for his passion to faithfully preach and teach God’s Word at churches, conferences, and workshops, as well as retreats. He served as an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Baptist University where he graduated with a BA in Biblical Studies. Pastor Ed is also an author, having written and published two books to date. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Health, Leadership, and Multiplication at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Ed and his wife, Tiffany, reside in Dallas, TX and are the parents of two daughters, Desirae and Gabrielle.
