Dr. Ed Johnson, III
Founder and Lead Pastor (Elder)
Dr. Ed Johnson, III is the planting Lead Pastor of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Austin, TX. He came to trust Jesus as Savior and Lord as a child and accepted the call to preach at the age of 17. In those early years of ministry, he served in various capacities both in the church and in the community; from Children and Youth minister to After-school Program Site Director at an Alternative School to Religious Education Director at the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, TX.
After graduating from college, he went on to serve for over a decade as the Associate Pastor of Christian Education at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, TX under the leadership of his late pastor and mentor, Dr. Karry D. Wesley.
Ed is known for his passion for faithfully preaching and teaching God’s Word at churches, conferences, and retreats. He is an author, having written and published two books to date. Ed earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University, a Master of Divinity degree in Theology from George W. Truett Theological Seminary (Baylor University), and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Health, Leadership, and Multiplication from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Ed and his wife, Tiffany, reside in DeSoto, TX and are the parents of two daughters, Desirae and Gabrielle.
Dennis Brooks
Elder
Dennis is a native of El Paso, TX, and has been a resident of the Dallas area for the last 54 years. He came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior while attending church with his wife and got baptized in 1985. In 1999, Dennis was called to the preaching ministry while attending Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Karry D. Wesley.
Dennis graduated from Dallas College, where he received his Associate of Arts. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries from Foster College (formerly known as Southern Bible Institute and College).
As one of the Elders/Pastors, Dennis cares for, guards, guides, and teaches the word of God (informally in conversation and formally through the teaching ministry of Harvest) to the members of Harvest.
Dennis and his wife Nancy have been married since 1977, have two sons and a daughter, and reside in Crandall, TX.
